Bedroom Interior, Plymouth

Residential Interior Design

After receiving an unimaginative and unsuitable design from a national bedroom design company the client approached us after seeing our listing in the Guardian Design Guide and subsequent visit to our website.

What they wanted to achieve

A bedroom design that suited the needs of their twelve year old daughter now and into the future and that would be suitable for socialising as well as studying and sleeping.

What we did

We created a room with different zones, arranging the space in a similar way to a small studio apartment. Materials, finishes and details were selected to create a durable high quality environment that will be enjoyed for many years.
Coat and shoe storage is provided next to the entrance door. A large fitted wardrobe in oak along the entrance wall includes a recess for a TV adjacent to the living/relaxing area. The study with desk, drawers and shelves is located next to the window making the most of the natural light. A suspended fabric screen and storage partition defines the sleeping area.

Our Involvement

In addition to designing the overall interior Tandem built and installed all furniture elements including the solid oak bed, wall hanging mirror, study chair and storage furniture.
